Budapest Art & Culture Tour

Introduction

It's time to get to know this "jewel of the Danube." Stringing the Danube with grandeur, Budapest is long known for its architectural beauty and thriving cultural activities such as opera, symphony, recitals, exhibitions and more.
Budapest is actually two cities merged into one and each offers a unique experience. Buda has lush residential hills and its historic Castle Hill, while bustling Pest is known for its shopping and commercial districts, as well, as the most stately architecture and parks. The two parts of the city are strung together by nine magnificent bridges and each person has a favorite. It's small wonder so many films and commercials get shot in Budapest. It even doubled as Buenos Aires for the 1996 film, Evita.
As part of the Budapest Cultural Tour, we'll take you sightseeing, but not in the traditional sense of the word. We'll show you around, we'll show you the Chain Bridge, the Parliament, and the beautiful Opera house, of course. But we'll go further even further - we'll introduce you to the people, the culture, and the traditions as well.
This country may be small, but it has given many talented people to the World - scientists, Nobel laureates and acknowledged composers and painters. We'll show you where they were born or where they lived and studied and tell you their stories. It's a chance to hear Franz Liszt's and Bela Bartok's music as only their home country can perform it. (If you feel like finding out more about famous Hungarians, you can learn more about them here.)
The museums, spas, cafes, bars, and malls, are always packed with locals. As a 3G guest, you'll have the chance to blend in among them, learn about their habits, holidays, their secret language (most probably unlike any other language you know) and their everyday lives.
